Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Modesto, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for flexible, per diem assignments supporting students in a school-based environment near Modesto, CA. Assignments are on an as-needed basis, providing support both one-on-one and in small groups according to school coverage requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers or staff
• Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs where applicable
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Ability and willingness to clear a TB test (per district requirements)
• Capacity to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Must hold or be willing to obtain current background clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school, behavioral health, special education, or child care settings
• Experience working with students with special needs, autism, or challenging behaviors
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is valued but not required
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit
