Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Mira Loma, CA

These per diem, as-needed roles offer flexible opportunities, allowing you to accept assignments that fit your schedule and help students thrive, whether one-on-one or in small group settings.

As an Instructional Aide Substitute, you will:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
• Provide individualized or small-group support as directed by teachers and related staff
• Support students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Implement behavior plans and follow IEPs as needed
• Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care when required
• Help ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere for all students

To be considered, candidates must:

• Hold a high school diploma or GED
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a current TB test (or be willing to obtain one per school district guidelines)
• Be able to stand, walk, and help with lifting as needed
• Be prepared to acquire required clearances prior to starting

Additional preferred experience includes:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not requiredjust a plus)
• Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
