Job Description
Instructional Aide Subs are needed to provide vital support to students in school-based settings near Minneapolis, MN! Flexible, per diem opportunities are available for individuals passionate about education, especially those interested in making a tangible difference in students daily lives. This role is designed for caring professionals eager to contribute in a structured school environment, with assignments available as school coverage needs arise.
Responsibilities:
- Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
- Provide 1:1 or small-group assistance under the direction of teachers and school staff
- Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement
- Implement behavior support plans and follow IEP directives as necessary
- Support mobility, safety, and personal care needs
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- TB test required (as per district guidelines)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if necessary
- Current background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Background in supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is valued but not mandatory
- Reliability, patience, and teamwork are highly favored traits
