Key Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to provide verification of a recent TB test (in accordance with district requirements)
• Willingness to obtain all necessary clearances prior to starting
• Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with student mobility or lifting as needed
• Experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings preferred, but not required
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is beneficial
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training considered a plus
• Demonstrates patience, reliability, and a collaborative spirit

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support for students in classrooms
• Offer 1:1 or small group assistance, following guidance from teachers and school staff
• Help students with day-to-day routines, classroom transitions, and full participation
• Implement behavior support plans and adhere to Individualized Education Program (IEP) instructions as required
• Support personal care, supervision, and mobility needs to promote student independence
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment at all times
