What This Role Entails:

• Provide direct support to students in classrooms, encouraging academic and social growth
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as guided by teachers and school administrators
• Aid students in routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEP plans where needed
• Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care tasks as necessary
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment

Requirements to Get Started:

• High school diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Recent TB test (per district protocols)
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting as needed
• School clearancescurrent, or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral concerns
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (a plus, not required)
• Patience, reliability, and a collaborative approach
