Per Diem Paraeducator in Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities include:

• Providing academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom environments
• Offering 1:1 or small group assistance as directed by teachers and staff
• Aiding students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and participation
• Supporting implementation of behavior plans and following IEPs
• Assisting with mobility, supervision, and personal care when appropriate
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere

Requirements to work in schools:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• TB test (per district policy)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred background:

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus
• Reliable, patient, and works well in teams
