Per Diem Paraprofessional in Los Angeles, CA

School Paraprofessional Substitutes are needed to support students in the classroom on a per diem basis. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom settings.
• Offer 1:1 or small-group assistance under the guidance of teachers and staff.
• Support students daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions throughout the school day.
• Implement behavior support plans and follow individualized education programs (IEPs) as directed.
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs when required.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if needed.
• All required school clearances current or willingness to complete them before starting.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings.
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges.
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certification is a plus but not required.
• Reliable, patient, and adaptable, with a team-oriented outlook.
