Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Long Beach, CA

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to help foster a positive impact in the lives of students in local schools. Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
• Provide individualized or small group assistance as directed by teachers and staff
• Aid students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs as necessary
• Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs
• Help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• TB test (per school requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and, when needed, assist with lifting
• All compliance clearances must be current or obtained prior to the start date

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in a school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare environment
• Experience supporting students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges
• Training such as CPI, PMT, or RBT is beneficial, but not required
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and collaborative spirit
