Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Long Beach, California

What youll do:

• Guide students with academic tasks and classroom participation as directed by school staff
• Assist students in daily routines and transitions to ensure a smooth, productive day
• Implement behavioral support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
• Offer supervision and support, including personal care and mobility assistance as needed
• Foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and fellow aides to support student success

What youll bring:

• High school diploma or GED, and at least 18 years old
• Ability to meet local school compliance requirements, including TB test and clear background clearances (current or willing to obtain)
• Physical ability to assist with lifting and be active throughout the school day
• Experience in educational, special education, or child care settings is preferred
• Skills working with children with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges a plus
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training is helpful but not mandatory
• Dependability, patience, and a positive, team-first attitude
