Per Diem Instructional Aide in Long Beach, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed in a school-based setting near Long Beach, CAan excellent opportunity for compassionate individuals who want to make a genuine impact while enjoying flexible, per diem roles. As an Instructional Aide Sub, you will:

• Foster academic, behavioral, and social growth for students in classroom settings
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group support following the guidance of teachers and school staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and encourage active classroom participation
• Help implement behavior support plans and follow individualized education programs (IEPs) as needed
• Provide support with mobility, supervision, and basic personal care requirements
• Uphold a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners

Requirements for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Ability to complete TB testing (per district requirements)
• Capacity to stand, walk, and assist with light lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to start

Preferred Background:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Exposure to assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT certification is beneficial but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative personality
