Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Long Beach, California

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 or small group support to students, as guided by teachers and staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as directed
• Support academic, behavioral, and social goals
• Offer supervision, mobility help, and occasional personal care as needed
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Current or willing to obtain TB test, per school requirements
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Current background clearances or willingness to complete them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are a plus
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
