Per Diem Paraprofessional in Live Oak, FL

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to provide dedicated, one-on-one support to students in a structured school environment on a flexible, per diem basis. Ideal for caring professionals, these positions offer the opportunity to help students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer direct assistance to students, working 1:1 or in small groups under the guidance of classroom staff
• Help support students in daily routines, classroom participation, and smooth transitions
• Follow educators direction in implementing behavior support strategies and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Supervise student mobility and provide personal care support as needed
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive atmosphere for all learners

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to fulfill physical requirements, including standing/walking and assisting with lifting
• TB test (based on district policy)
• Willingness to complete all necessary background clearances before starting

Preferred Experience

• Background in education, behavioral health, special education, or child care
• Experience working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with behavior management (CPI, PMT, RBT) a plus but not mandatory
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
