Per Diem Paraprofessional in Live Oak, CA

Make a lasting difference in students lives by working as an Instructional Aide on a flexible, per diem basis. Take the opportunity to provide essential support to students in classroom settings, delivering 1:1 or small group assistance to help them access learning and feel included. As a vital part of the school community, youll help create a structured, positive environment where every child has the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classrooms
• Providing individual or group support, following teachers and staff direction
• Helping students navigate daily routines, transitions, and participating in classroom activities
• Implementing behavior support plans and adhering to IEPs as needed
• Supporting with supervision, mobility, and personal care tasks when required
• Maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning space for all

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a district-required TB test
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Current clearances, or willingness to complete them prior to starting

Preferred backgrounds include:

• Experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (a plus, not required)
• A patient, reliable, and collaborative attitude
