Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere for all students
• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially, both 1:1 and in small groups as directed by school staff
• Support daily routines, classroom transitions, and encourage active participation
• Help implement behavior support strategies and follow students Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide mobility, personal care, and supervision as needed to ensure student well-being
• Build constructive relationships with students and assist teachers in classroom management

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain per district guidelines)
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting students as situations demand
• All required background clearances must be up-to-date or secured before starting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in educational, child care, special education, or behavioral health settings
• Experience working with students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges is highly valued
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, but not required
• Patience, dependability, and a collaborative approach
