Per Diem Paraprofessional in Lisle, IL

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to support students in school environments near Lisle, IL. In this position, you will:

• Provide classroom support to students, assisting individually or in small groups as directed by educators
• Foster an inclusive and positive environment by helping students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies under the guidance of teachers
• Address students personal, behavioral, and mobility needs with compassion and professionalism
• Maintain a safe and respectful space for all learners

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• PEL License
• TB test (per district requirements)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance as needed
• All clearances must be current or obtained prior to starting

Preferred experience:

• Previous work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certification (a plus, but not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
