Responsibilities include:

• Supporting students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
• Assisting pupils individually or in small groups under teacher and staff direction
• Helping students with daily routines, smooth transitions, and classroom engagement
• Implementing behavior support plans and following IEP guidelines as needed
• Monitoring student safety, mobility, and personal care when required
• Creating and maintaining an inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environment

School compliance requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Recent TB test (in accordance with district guidelines)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certification/experience (helpful but not required)
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative demeanor
