Per Diem Instructional Aide - Liberty, MO

This school-based paraprofessional position offers hands-on experience providing 1:1 and small group assistance, helping students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially within a structured educational environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test in accordance with school policy
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Up-to-date clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (a plus, but not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach to teamwork

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support in classroom settings
• Assist students 1:1 or in small groups as directed by teachers and staff
• Help with classroom routines, transitions, and personal care as needed
• Follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
• Support student mobility, supervision, and maintain a positive learning environment
