Per Diem Paraprofessional in Liberty, MO

School-based paraprofessionals are needed on a flexible, per diem basis to provide essential support for students in classroom environments. As an Instructional Aide substitute, you will work closely with students needing 1:1 or small group assistance, helping them succeed both academically and socially throughout the school day. These positions offer the opportunity to make a significant impact while maintaining a schedule that fits your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with academic, behavioral, and social development within classrooms
• Provide individualized or small-group support as directed by educators
• Support students during daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement and document behavior plans and follow IEP accommodations, when assigned
• Offer mobility assistance, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Cultivate a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• One of the following: Active ParaPro certification, a Substitute Teaching certificate, or at least 36 college credits
• Minimum age of 18 years
• TB test meeting school requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide physical assistance as necessary
• Willingness to obtain current background clearances prior to the first day

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in special education, child care, schools, or behavioral health
• Familiarity with supporting individuals with disabilities, autism, or challenging behaviors
• Training in CPI, PMT, or as a Registered Behavior Technician is valued
• Dependable, patient, collaborative attitude
