What Youll Contribute:
- Offer 1:1 and small group assistance, shaping students academic, social, and behavioral growth
- Help students navigate daily routines, transitions, and participate fully in classroom activities
- Follow behavior support plans and IEPs, providing compassionate guidance tailored to each students needs
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and occasional personal care tasks
- Maintain an inclusive, safe, and respectful classroom atmosphere
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other paraprofessionals as a valued member of the team
Essential Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willingness to complete a TB test as required
- Ability to actively engage with students, including standing, walking, and assisting with lifting
- Up-to-date school clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting
Preferred Background:
- Direct experience in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Familiarity with supporting students facing special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism
- Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus
- Strong reliability, a patient demeanor, and the ability to collaborate effectively
