Job Description

In this hands-on role, you will provide 1:1 assistance to students and play a vital part in their academic, behavioral, and social development within structured classroom settings. What You'll Do:
- Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students within the classroom
- Provide individualized or small-group assistance as directed by educators and staff
- Help students with routines, classroom transitions, and consistent participation
- Follow established behavior support plans and implement components of students IEPs
- Assist with mobility, personal care, and supervision as needed
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students
Requirements for School Compliance:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- TB test in accordance with district guidelines
- Ability to be on your feet, assist with lifting, and meet the physical demands of the job
- Willingness to obtain or provide required background clearances
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
- Familiarity with supporting students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is beneficial, but not mandatory
- Reliability, patience, and a collaborative outlook
