Per Diem Teacher Aide | Lees Summit, Missouri

What You'll Do:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students within the classroom
• Provide individualized or small-group assistance as directed by educators and staff
• Help students with routines, classroom transitions, and consistent participation
• Follow established behavior support plans and implement components of students IEPs
• Assist with mobility, personal care, and supervision as needed
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students

Requirements for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test in accordance with district guidelines
• Ability to be on your feet, assist with lifting, and meet the physical demands of the job
• Willingness to obtain or provide required background clearances

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Familiarity with supporting students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is beneficial, but not mandatory
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative outlook
