Per Diem Paraeducator in Lees Summit, MO

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to support students in school-based settings near Lees Summit, MO. These per diem, flexible opportunities allow you to select shifts based on your availability and school coverage needs. As an Instructional Aide, you will play a vital role in fostering student growth by providing individualized academic, behavioral, and social support within classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students 1:1 or in small groups under the guidance of teachers and staff
• Support students academic progress, classroom participation, and daily routines
• Help implement behavioral support plans and follow IEPs as needed
• Provide supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care support as required
• Maintain a respectful, positive, and inclusive environment for all students

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance as necessary
• TB test (per district requirements)
• Relevant educator certification
• All required clearances completed or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, childcare, special education, or behavioral health
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques (a plus but not required)
