Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 or small-group support to students in classroom settings, as directed by teachers and staff.
• Assist with daily classroom routines, transitions, and keeping students engaged in lessons.
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable.
• Support students mobility, offer supervision, and assist with personal care needs as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive atmosphere that promotes respect and participation for all learners.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to complete a TB test (per district requirements).
• Capability to stand, walk, and help with student lifting as necessary.
• Willingness to obtain or update all required school clearances prior to your start date.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a school, special education, behavioral health, or child care setting.
• Comfort supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges.
• Training or familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (helpful, but not required).
• Dependability, patience, and ability to work collaboratively.
