Per Diem Instructional Aide - Lathrop, CA

As an Instructional Aide Substitute, you will:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom environments
• Deliver dedicated assistance to individual students, or work with small groups as guided by teachers or school staff
• Help students with daily routines, class transitions, and active participation
• Support the implementation of positive behavior plans and follow IEPs when applicable
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere

To qualify, you must:

• Hold a high school diploma or GED
• Be at least 18 years old
• Complete a TB test as required by the district
• Be able to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance when needed
• Have current clearances or be willing to obtain them before starting

Preferred backgrounds include:

• Experience in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (a plus, not required)
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
