Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Lancaster, CA

Responsibilities include:

• Providing academic, behavioral, and social support to students during classroom activities
• Assisting students individually or in small groups, based on teachers and staff direction
• Helping students with daily routines, class transitions, and participation in activities
• Carrying out behavior support plans and following IEPs where applicable
• Supporting mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as necessary
• Ensuring a respectful, positive, and inclusive learning atmosphere

To be eligible, youll need:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Be at least 18 years old
• Current or willing to obtain TB test and other required clearances prior to start
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with occasional lifting

Preferred experience includes:

• Time spent working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (helpful but not required)
• Patience, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
