Per Diem Teacher Aide | La Canada Flintridge, California

Step into a rewarding role as an Instructional Aide Substitute and help shape students learning experiences in a supportive school environment. In this per diem, as-needed position, youll have the flexibility to choose assignments that fit your schedule while providing essential 1:1 support to students throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Offer 1:1 or small group assistance, following teacher and staff guidance
• Help students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Implement behavior plans and work within students IEPs when applicable
• Support with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Current TB test per district guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Able to meet required school clearances (or obtain before starting)

Preferred Experience:

• Background working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus
• Reliability, patience, and strong teamwork skills

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
