Per Diem Paraprofessional in La Canada Flintridge, CA

As a valued team member, youll provide 1:1 and small-group support, help create inclusive classrooms, and play a key part in empowering student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic and behavioral assistance to students, either individually or in small groups, under the guidance of teachers and school staff
• Support daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as necessary
• Maintain a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for all students

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• TB test as required by district
• Clearance requirements must be met or be in process before start date

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT knowledge (a plus, not required)
• Dependable, patient, and a collaborative team player
