What you'll do:

• Offer direct assistance to students in classroom environments, supporting learning and positive behavior under the direction of certified staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and full engagement in lessons
• Provide 1:1 or small-group guidance based on student needs and teacher instructions
• Uphold and implement behavior intervention plans and support IEP requirements as directed
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere
• Support mobility and personal care needs, fostering independence where possible

Desired experience and requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• TB test and school district clearances (current or commitment to obtain before starting)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Preferred: Previous experience working with childrenespecially those with special needs, autism, or behavioral challengesin schools, child care, or behavioral health
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience helpful, not required
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach
