School Paraprofessional Substitute Opportunities Flexible Per Diem Assignments

Spindle is seeking caring and dedicated Instructional Aides to serve as School Paraprofessional Substitutes in a variety of settings near Kansas City, MO. In this per diem role, youll provide crucial, individualized support to students on an as-needed basisperfect for compassionate professionals who thrive in a structured school environment and want the flexibility of choosing their assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom environments
• Deliver 1:1 or small group assistance following teachers and staff directions
• Aid students with classroom routines, transitions, and participation in daily activities
• Follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as appropriate
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs where required
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• One of the following: active ParaPro certification, Substitute Teaching certification, or 36 college credits
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test in accordance with school district requirements
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Willingness to complete or update required background clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT methods (not required)
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach
