Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
- Provide direct 1:1 or small-group support as directed by teachers and staff
- Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement
- Follow behavior support plans and help implement IEPs where required
- Support mobility, supervise activities, and attend to personal care needs
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere for all
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18
- Pass a TB test as required by school policy
- Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with mobility or lifting when necessary
- Current clearances, or willingness to obtain them before beginning work
Preferred Background:
- Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Skills supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (not required, but a plus)
- Dependable, patient, and collaborative style
