Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Irvine, CA

As an on-call Instructional Aide, youll collaborate closely with teachers and school staff while enjoying the flexibility to accept assignments that fit your schedule. Your support will empower students with a variety of needs, fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere.

What You'll Do:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Deliver one-on-one or small-group assistance under teacher guidance
• Assist students with daily routines, class transitions, and active participation
• Implement behavior support plans and individual education programs (IEPs) as needed
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift/assist as required
• Current TB test (as per district standards)
• Willingness to complete requisite background clearances prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with autism or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT skills (preferred, not required)
• Patient, reliable, and collaborative attitude
