Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Huntington Beach, California

Instructional Aide Substitute professionals are needed to support students on a 1:1 basis in a dynamic and inclusive school environment near Huntington Beach, CA. Your role will focus on assisting students in classrooms, helping them reach their academic, social, and behavioral goals. By working closely with teachers and staff, youll play a vital part in daily routines, transitions, and fostering student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group support as directed by school personnel
• Assist with classroom activities, participation, and implementing behavior support plans
• Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment
• Help students with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Ensure respectful communication and a positive atmosphere for all students

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Recent TB test (per district guidelines)
• Willingness and eligibility to obtain necessary background clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, childcare, or behavioral health settings
• Experience aiding students with special needs, including autism and behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques is a plus
• A patient, reliable, and cooperative approach
