Per Diem Teacher Aide | Huntington Beach, California

Instructional Aide Subs are currently needed for school-based positions providing crucial support to students in a flexible, per diem capacity. Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 or with small groups of students to provide academic, behavioral, and social support
• Assist students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions throughout the day
• Implement teacher-directed support and follow individualized education plans (IEPs) as applicable
• Support students with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs when required
• Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to carry out instructional and behavioral strategies

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• TB test (as required by the district)
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a school, special education, child care, or behavioral health setting
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, but not essential
• Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative mindset

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
