Per Diem Paraprofessional in Huntington Beach, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for engaging, school-based opportunities supporting students near Huntington Beach, CA. These per diem positions offer the flexibility to accept assignments that fit your schedule, making them perfect for compassionate individuals interested in making a daily impact in K-12 environments. As an Instructional Aide, youll work 1:1 or with small groups, directly contributing to the academic, social, and behavioral success of students in diverse classroom settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students both academically and behaviorally under teacher and staff direction
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support during classroom activities and daily routines
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow student IEPs when required
• Promote safe transitions and assist with mobility or personal care as needed
• Create a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for learning
• Support supervision and maintain open, effective communication with staff

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test in accordance with district regulations
• Able to stand, walk, and provide lifting support if needed
• School clearances current or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training welcome but not mandatory
• Dependability, patience, and a collaborative approach are highly valued
