Per Diem Paraprofessional in Huntington Beach, CA

School paraprofessional substitutes are needed to support learning environments in the Huntington Beach area. As an Instructional Aide, you'll play a vital role in helping students thrive both academically and socially. What You'll Do:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Provide 1:1 or small-group assistance at the direction of teachers and school staff
• Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and active participation in lessons
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEP guidelines as needed
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs for assigned students
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where every learner can succeed

Whats Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test (per district requirement)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Willingness to obtain required clearances prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school, child care, special education, or behavioral health settings
• Experience assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certification is a bonus, but not necessary
• Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
