Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Hinkley, CA

As an Instructional Aide Substitute, youll work per diem with flexible assignments, supporting students 1:1 in a variety of school-based settings. Key Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to complete a recent TB test (per district guidelines)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current school clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience

• Direct experience in school, behavioral health, special education, or child care settings
• Skills supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges highly valued
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a bonus, but not a requirement
• Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative mindset

What Youll Do

• Provide direct academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classrooms
• Offer dedicated 1:1 or small group assistance, as directed by instructional staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Help implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as needed
• Support supervision, safe mobility, and personal care as required
• Promote an inclusive, respectful learning environment

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
