Per Diem Teacher Assistant | Hinkley, California

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed for flexible, school-based opportunities supporting students one-on-one near Hinkley, CA. These per diem roles provide meaningful, hands-on experience within classroom settings, ideal for caring individuals looking to positively influence student learning and development. Shifts are available as needed, based on school coverage requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classrooms
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance under the direction of teachers and school staff
• Assist with daily routines, classroom transitions, and encouraging participation
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and follow students IEPs as appropriate
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care for students who require extra assistance
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test (per district mandate)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
• Up-to-date clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus, but not required
• Demonstrates reliability, patience, and a collaborative attitude
