Per Diem Instructional Aide - Hinkley, CA

Instructional Aide Substitute positions are available for compassionate, supportive individuals eager to make a difference in the lives of students. These school-based, per diem opportunities offer flexibility, allowing you to accept assignments according to your availability and preferred schedule. As an instructional aide, youll play a crucial role in helping students thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially within a structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group academic and behavioral support as directed by teachers and staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Help implement behavior support plans and follow IEP guidelines, as needed
• Support mobility, supervision, and, if required, personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate
• Contribute to a positive and supportive school experience for all learners

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Current TB test (per district guidelines)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed
• Willingness to complete background clearances as required by the school

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience working in school, behavioral health, special education, or child care settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT skills (a plus, but not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
