Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Hinkley, CA

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Work 1:1 or in small groups under the direction of teachers and school staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Follow individualized education programs (IEPs) and implement behavior support plans as directed
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe and respectful school environment

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Current (or willing to complete) TB testing and clearances per school requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed

Preferred Experience:

• Background in education, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting children with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (a plus, not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
