Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Helendale, California

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed for flexible, school-based opportunities supporting students one-on-one in a dynamic educational environment. These per diem, as-needed roles are perfect for compassionate individuals eager to make a difference in students academic and personal growth.

As an instructional aide, you will work closely under the direction of teachers and school staff to foster an encouraging and inclusive learning atmosphere. Assignments are available based on ongoing school coverage needs, offering you full control over your schedule.

What Youll Do:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in the classroom.
• Deliver one-on-one or small-group assistance based on teachers instructions.
• Assist students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions.
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral support strategies.
• Support mobility, supervision, and, when necessary, personal care.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all.

Qualifications (School Compliance):

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to complete a TB test (per district requirements).
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting.
• Must have (or be willing to obtain) current background clearances.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care.
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges.
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience welcomed, but not required.
• Dependable, patient, and adept at working collaboratively.
