Per Diem Instructional Aide in Helendale, CA

What Youll Do:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group academic, behavioral, and social support within classroom settings
• Follow directions from teachers and staff to assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Support students by implementing behavior plans and IEP-related interventions
• Assist with mobility and personal care needs, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Maintain respectful interactions and model positive behaviors

Required for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age: 18
• TB test per district guidelines
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Knowledge of supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not required, but helpful!)
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative attitude
