Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Hayward, California

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide essential support for students in a dynamic school environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Offer individualized or small-group assistance as directed by school personnel
• Support students academic engagement and behavior in classroom settings
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and full classroom participation
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and follow IEPs where applicable
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test in accordance with district policies
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift/assist as needed
• Willingness to obtain or maintain all necessary clearances prior to start

Preferred Experience and Qualities:

• Previous experience in a school, special education, behavioral health, or child care setting
• Familiarity working with students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training (a plus, but not required)
• Reliable, patient, team-oriented approach
