Responsibilities include:

• Assisting students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
• Providing individualized or small-group support under the guidance of teachers and school staff
• Helping students with daily routines, transitions, and participation in school activities
• Implementing behavior support plans and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when needed
• Supporting mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Completion of a recent TB test, as required by the district
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting for student support
• Current clearances, or willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred experience:

• Previous experience in schools or educational support settings
• Background in special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience working with students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT approaches (not mandatory)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative personality
