Per Diem Paraeducator in Hayward, CA

Instructional Aide Substitute positions are currently available for compassionate professionals interested in supporting students on a flexible, per diem basis. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom settings
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as instructed by teachers and staff
• Help students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Follow behavior support plans and implement IEP guidelines as necessary
• Assist with supervision, mobility, and occasional personal care needs
• Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning space

School Compliance Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test in line with district requirements
• Capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in education, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience with students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience a plus
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
