As an Instructional Aide Substitute, youll assist students one-on-one or in small groups within the classroom. Your support will extend across academic, behavioral, and social needs, making a true difference for learners and educators alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer direct assistance to students during class activities, routines, and transitions
• Support teachers and staff by reinforcing lesson plans and implementing behavior strategies
• Follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans as needed
• Assist with mobility and provide personal care when necessary
• Champion a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom climate
• Supervise and encourage student participation, helping everyone feel respected and engaged

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Passed TB test (per district guidelines)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if required
• Current required clearances or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred Background:

• Prior experience in school, childcare, special education, or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity with supporting students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT knowledge a plus (not mandatory)
• Professionalism, dependability, and a collaborative spirit
