Job Description

As an Instructional Aide substitute, youll partner closely with educators to help students thrive academically, socially, and behaviorally. Whether working one-on-one or assisting in small groups, youll have an immediate impact in classrooms that value compassion, patience, and teamwork.
What Youll Do:
- Supervise and support students throughout the school day, reinforcing positive behavior and classroom engagement
- Offer 1:1 or small-group instructional support at the direction of teaching staff
- Help students with classroom routines, transitions, and daily participation
- Implement IEP goals and behavior plans under school staff guidance
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs where necessary
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful setting that encourages student growth
What Youll Need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Current TB test (or willingness to obtain per district requirements)
- Ability to stand, walk, and physically assist as needed
- Willingness to complete all required background clearances prior to starting
Preferred Experience:
- Work experience in schools, child care, or supporting students with special needs or behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with autism support, CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials (not required)
- Reliable, flexible, and collaborative attitude
