Per Diem Paraprofessional in Glendale, CA

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to support students in school-based settings near Glendale, CA. These flexible, per diem opportunities are ideal for compassionate individuals who are eager to make a daily impact in students lives while enjoying the flexibility of as-needed shifts based on school coverage needs. As an Instructional Aide, you will provide meaningful academic, behavioral, and social support to students, often working 1:1 or in small groups as directed by educators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with academic tasks and classroom activities
• Support positive behavior and help implement behavioral plans
• Provide 1:1 or small-group guidance as directed by teachers
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Assist in personal care, mobility, and supervision as necessary
• Maintain a respectful, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test as required by the district
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if needed
• Willingness to obtain current clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Knowledge of CPI, PMT, or RBT (helpful but not required)
