Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Glendale, CA

Make an immediate impact by supporting students as an Instructional Aide Substitute. These per diem, school-based opportunities offer the flexibility you need, while providing the chance to contribute meaningfully in classroom environments. You'll assist students on a 1:1 basisempowering them to grow academically, behaviorally, and socially in a structured, supportive setting.

What Youll Do:

• Offer classroom support to students, both individually and in small groups, as guided by teachers and staff
• Assist with classroom routines, student transitions, and daily participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs where necessary
• Provide supervision, mobility, and personal care support as needed
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students

Required for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age 18
• Current TB test (or willing to obtain per district guidelines)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Valid clearances or willingness to obtain prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Work history in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT background is a plus, but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
