Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Glencoe, IL

Make a difference each day as a per diem Instructional Aide supporting students one-on-one in a welcoming school environment near Glencoe, IL. As an on-call substitute, youll be a crucial support for both students and staff by fostering academic, behavioral, and social growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
• Provide personalized 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and engaging in classroom activities
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Offer support with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• TB test as required by district guidelines
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• All clearances must be current or willing to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training is a plus but not required
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit
