Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Fremont, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide vital support within school environments near Fremont, CA. This per diem, as-needed role offers flexible opportunitiesideal for individuals passionate about education and making a real difference in students lives. Step in as an Instructional Aide and help create inclusive, safe, and engaged classroom experiences by working directly with students who need additional support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support for students within classrooms
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance under guidance from teachers and staff
• Support students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Implement teacher-directed behavior support plans and follow IEP guidance as needed
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care for students
• Help uphold a respectful, safe, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Completion of TB test in line with school requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance as required
• Submit to district-mandated clearances prior to starting
• Willingness to obtain any additional school compliance credentials

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in classroom, special education, child care, or behavioral health
• Familiarity working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Exposure to CPI, PMT, or RBT methodologies (helpful, but not required)
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach
