Per Diem Instructional Aide - Fremont, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to fill immediate per diem opportunities supporting students in school settings near Fremont, CA. If you are a compassionate professional seeking meaningful, flexible work, this role lets you make a difference while accommodating your schedule.

As a substitute instructional aide, you will play a key part in fostering an inclusive and safe learning environment. Your assignments will vary based on school coverage needs and may include supporting students one-on-one or in small groups under the direction of teachers and school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance to students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
• Support daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Assist with implementing behavior support plans and following individual education programs (IEPs)
• Ensure supervision and support for mobility and personal care needs
• Help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all students

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Completion of TB test as required by schools
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance as necessary
• Willingness to obtain all required clearances prior to starting work

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT methods is a plus (not required)
• Reliable, patient, and able to work collaboratively
